    VALLEY FORGE, PA (10/01/2024)—American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS) is pleased to announce Discipleship Summit 2024: Engaging Young Adult Faith, an online course designed to help church l, parents, and others passionate about working with young adults better understand and engage with them in today’s rapidly evolving spiritual landscape. The ABHMS Center for Continuous Learning will convene the summit on October 16, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. (ET) via Zoom.

  • ABHMS calls for prayers and support as Hurricane Helene threatens Southeast U.S.

    VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 09/26/2024)—Hurricane Helene will make landfall on the Gulf Coast of Florida on Thursday, September 26, as a potentially deadly Category 4 storm, according to the National Hurricane Center of NOAA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. High-velocity winds, flooding rainfall, and storm surge that could reach 20 feet are expected. The Hurricane Center further states that as Helene progresses along its forecast northeasterly track, the massive storm will likely unleash fury across Georgia, the Carolinas, and Virginia in the coming days before it dissipates.
